Cricket Builds Hope (CBH) is a charitable incorporated organisation registered in England and Wales (1157287). Our registered office is 13 Cloudesley Square, London N1 0HT. What information we collect
Newsletter sign-ups – your name and email address.
Donations and Friends – donations are processed by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). We receive your name, contact details, donation details and, if you choose, your Gift Aid declaration.
Grant applications – contact details for the people named in an application, information about your organisation and the content of your application.
Enquiries – whatever you tell us when you email us.
Website use – our website uses Squarespace Analytics, which records information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your approximate location.
How we use it
To send you our newsletter, if you have asked us to. We rely on your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To process donations and claim Gift Aid. We rely on our legal obligations to HMRC and our legitimate interests in managing donations and thanking supporters.
To assess grant applications, manage grants and report on them. We rely on our legitimate interests in running our grants programme.
To reply to enquiries. We rely on our legitimate interests.
To understand how our website is used and improve it. We rely on our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with organisations that help us run CBH, such as Squarespace (our website and newsletter), the Charities Aid Foundation (donations) and our email provider, and with HMRC when we claim Gift Aid. Some of these providers store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
Grant applications and grant records – six years after our decision or the end of the grant.
Donation and Gift Aid records – six years, as HMRC requires.
Newsletter details – until you unsubscribe.
Enquiries – only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.

Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics cookies through Squarespace Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, email info@cricketbuildshope.org.
