At Cricket Builds Hope we are proud to have developed partnerships with corporates NGOs and key government departments in the UK and Rwanda. Their support and commitment means we can continue to harness cricket, and the spirit of the game, as a tool for social change across Rwanda.

NIUM

Nium is a company leading a transformation in payments, enabling anyone, anywhere to make and receive payments instantly, regardless of the location or currency.

As the official Fintech Infrastructure Partners of the International Cricket Council, Nium have played a central role in using cricket for change across the world, hosting dialogues, supporting campaigns, and putting the spotlight on women in the sport, rewriting narratives to now include more female representation on and off the cricket field. They are a key sponsor for the Cricket Builds Hope Women’s Empowerment Programme.

Yorkshire Tea

We are grateful for the ongoing support of Yorkshire Tea, who have been supporting CBH for many years. They made substantial contributions to the cost of the Stadium (including sponsorship of the Yorkshire Tea Bar) and participated in the inaugural tournament in 2017. They are currently sponsoring a three-year project to introduce cricket to three remote Tea Estates in Rwanda alongside neighbouring schools. Find out more about this programme here.

SURREY COUNTY CRICKET CLUB

Surrey County Cricket have been tremendously supportive of CBH and its cause. As well as regular donations, generous auction prizes and sponsorship they provide ongoing counsel and advice on the maintenance and operation of the Stadium and coaching matters, including coaching of people with disabilities. They also allow CBH to use the Oval for fundraising events and regular Trustee meetings.

Comic Relief and the Scottish Government

Comic Relief and the Scottish Government provided funding for the first sport for change programme delivered by CBH from the Stadium. The programme aimed to unlock the leadership potential and self-confidence of young women aged 19 – 25 drawn from the poorest groups in the Gahanga sector. Find out more about this programme here.

RWANDA CRICKET ASSOCIATION

RCA is the official governing body of cricket in Rwanda. It directs and oversees all domestic and international cricket in the country whilst encouraging its development. The RCA is Rwanda's representative at the International Cricket Council.  CBH and RCA work together in relation both to the management and operation of the Stadium and to the delivery of sport for change programmes in Rwanda, supporting both the Yorkshire Tea programme and Women’s Empowerment programme.

Ark Build Plc

Ark Build were generous and supportive during the construction of the Stadium and have continued to help CBH since then by making regular contributions to running costs.  This has been in addition to their regular contributions to Gahanga Cricket Stadium to cover the costs of employing the team of groundsmen who tend the square and outfield and other parts of the Stadium.

Rwandan Government

We are grateful for the ongoing support of H.E. Paul Kagame and the Government of Rwanda. The Government supported by granting the lease of the site of the Stadium. H.E. Paul Kagame officially opened the Stadium in October 2017. Since then the Ministry of Sport has confirmed its intentions to help CBH in the delivery of its sport for change programmes.

Volcanoes

Volcanoes Safaris kindly donated multiple auction prizes which led to CBH raising significant sums. They also helped guide CBH through the complex construction process of the Gahanga Cricket Stadium.
