ANOTHER ICC TOURNAMENT AT THE GAHANGA CRICKET STADIUM BEGINS…

Today sees the beginning of the ICC Under 19 World Cup Africa Qualifiers, hosted at the Gahanga Cricket Stadium (GCS) in Kigali.

The winner will automatically qualify for the 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup in the West Indies.

Rwanda are up against cricketing powerhouses from the region, such as Namibia and Uganda, so start the tournament as underdogs. But it will provide some great experience for a young squad, and another opportunity to host an international cricket tournament, which wasn’t possible before the GCS opened in 2017.
