About us

Cricket Builds Hope is a UK charity that funds cricket facilities and activities in Rwanda. We are run entirely by volunteer trustees.

How we work

We are a small charity run by volunteer trustees, with no staff. We raise money in the UK and give grants to trusted organisations in Rwanda, mainly for cricket facilities such as pitches, practice areas and community hubs.

Each grant pays for a specific, agreed project. We keep our processes simple, and apart from a few small software costs, every pound we raise goes to cricket in Rwanda. Find out how to apply for a grant.

Gahanga today

Gahanga Cricket Stadium is now owned and run by the Rwanda Cricket Association. We continue to support opportunities for young people there, so it remains a lively centre for playing and progressing in cricket. Read about our legacy.
